Happy Birthday Danielle

She is the big "10" she a very quiet birthday because the day after Christmas does not yield much activity. But I think she got some things for her birthday that she wanted and also some things that she was surprised to get!!!

I always thought that having a Christmas birthday would be awsome, but watching how Danielle kind of gets jipped out of having as much fun as other children do when their birthdays are on regular days of the week, or in just plain warm weather, I have changed my mind. However, Danielle always makes the best of it and has a good time anyway!

She wanted Italian food so we made her a lasagna and she had a big yellow ice cream M&M cake!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIELLE!!!!!!! We love you!!!!

Happy New Year

An alcohol substitute that mimics its pleasant buzz without leading to drunkenness and hangovers is being developed by scientists.

The new substance could have the added bonus of being "switched off" instantaneously with a pill, to allow drinkers to drive home or return to work.

The synthetic alcohol, being developed from chemicals related to Valium, works like alcohol on nerves in the brain that provide a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation.

But unlike alcohol its does not affect other parts of the brain that control mood swings and lead to addiction. It is also much easier to flush out of the body.
Finally because it is much more focused in its effects, it can also be switched off with an antidote, leaving the drinker immediately sober.

Last

Child one needs to stop smacking sisters and dogs because pretty soon... he'll be all alone in the pictures! AND believe it or not, this dog, actually kind of digs this kid.

Child Three

Child three does not understand we do not leave out her sister and replace her with the dog just because SHE does not like her.

Child Two

Child two has not accepted that the rest of the family does not share her LOVE of the kitty and he will not be allowed in the Christmas picture. As well as the bright red eye shadow she stole out my make-up kit and had to be wiped off!

Child One

Well, think about it. Just one picture with three fairly well behaved children should be a breeze. Think again. Here's the chronicle of my attempts.

Child one, does realize the tongue belongs in the mouth.
