Sick Kids

Well Danielle brought home (last Thursday) some kind of virus. A few days later Kaytee got and within hours, Will. Luckily, Will ended up feeling ill for only about an hour and moved on. Kaytee and Danielle were sicker. I am patiently waiting. But thinking maybe it did not move on to the adults? Crossing fingers.

Danielle finally made her garden. But, where she put it, the rain waters just flood the poor thing! I will attach a picture of it when she has a chance to fix it up. As soon as she made it, it rained.

Kaytee REALLY wanted her hair cut, so I took her. She is very happy about how it looks, but is disapointed that some of her classmates didn't notice. Oh well! School will be out June 16 and thats all they can think about. Oh, yeah, that and putting the pool up. Funny thing is... in late August, their sick of the pool already, hehe.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Here is a quote from Wiki about Memorial Day Weekend:

The 30th day of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village and hamlet churchyard in the land. In this observance no form or ceremony is prescribed, but Posts and comrades will, in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect as circumstances may permit.

In actuality, people really do pay proper attention to the reason we are off. Saturday was lighting and thunder and heavy rains, plus, even some hail. I had to cut back my tree, the Yellowbird Magnolia because it has not recovered from planting. So at the advice of the nursery I cut back the branches by about 6 inches. Mostly less because I was having a hard time cutting it. I was afraid that even though he assured me that was the right thing to do, it felt wrong. I have to admit though, that it did start to look better. He also said not to OVER water it! Of course the heavy downpours that we are getting hit with will do that all by themselves! If this tree makes it, it will be a miracle. Danielle is planting a small flower garden of her own. She is very excited! I will take a picture of it and post it. Actually, Danielle has become quite the photographer. She has her own digital camera and has taken some really impressive shots!

Anyway, have a great weekend everyone.

Pictures

Wow, found this old picture today after I was going through some discs that I found. This was Will just before his first birthday! Boy was he cute or what? Chubby. It's amazing how much they change... but really, are still the same. He won a cute baby contest when he was about 10 months old. I just had this really cute picture of him and submitted it to our local radio stations web site. He won first prize! I had to admit though, he was super cute. But, as you can see from this picture and many others, his sisters dote on him as well as his mother and father. So it's no wonder why he acts up at times. Well, after last summer... we put a kabosh to that!!! Now, he's just a little spoiled. Bwahahahahaha!

My New Trees

Well here is the one Magnolia, "Elizabeth" It should have yellow flowers and bloom in the spring. It did have one on it, but it fell off when we planted it. Of course I had to have two of MY flowers in front before I took the picture. Kaytee was busy mentoring Will on how to shoot his bow and arrow. He likes Green Arrow, the superhero. The trees are in great shape and it was a rainy weekend so they should do nicely upon first planting. Of course Bill had a hard time digging because it is all shale here in the Slate Belt of PA. But the nursery that Bill ordered them from insisted they'd be okay. The rest of the front of house looks great with all my Irises in all various colors. I am a very happy Magnolia owner.

Sitcom's

Everyone has a show or (shows) that they look forward to watching. Also finding it painful to wait for the season opener. Bill and I have very similar tastes as far as movies and sitcom's go. I think the shows I genuinely look forward to are: Sons of Anarchy, Medium, Fringe, Rules of Engagement, Big Bang Theory, Saving Grace, and oddly enough, Legend of the Seeker. A lot of shows lost my interest when they strayed to far from the original story. Ghost Whisperer used to be good. But it just seems like as soon as her husband died, and turned into some other dude.... gone! He should have been a ghost and stayed that way helping her solve some of the mysteries.

Bills favorite has got to be the Sons of Anarchy, of course with the Harley bikes in it. He also likes Heroes, Boston Legal. I do not care for those two.

I have recently become aware of email that was sent to me regarding zero tolerance speeding on local highways. Please make note of the camera with which they have installed all over several states to catch any and all speeders! I also here it is being issued to several locations overseas!

Watch Out!!!

Yes, I could not help it! This was too cute not to post! Just looking at something this cute makes your day.

The girls have on a few weeks of school left and summer will be here. Bill bought me a treadmill which is the most amazing treadmill EVER! It even has a fan in it so when you start to sweat it just cools you right off... yay! Here's to hoping I lose 10 pounds in one day... well, I did say (hoping).

Everyone's mulching and planting on our street. Bill bought me two Magnolia's for our yard for Mother's day. One- Elizabeth, Magnolia, and one- Yellowbird! Both yellow. I cannot wait. I'd love to put them in the front where they can be appreciated. They should be a few feet tall which is great. Any other trees that we planted that were smaller did not make it. Luckily two apple trees in the back, a cherry tree, and two red dawns also in the back, made it!!

Well, I'm off to get busy with my day. Happy Sunshine Everyone!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to everyone who is a mom, has a great mom, or knows a great mom! I hope you treated them like a queen.

So, here is the birthday boy at Chucke E. Cheese! He was not amused! All he had to do is see the Animatronics (however bad they are) move just slightly, and he wanted to leave right away! Now, Now, NOW! It took several slices of pizza and some cheese sticks to get him to relax! Then the girls took some tokens and started having fun! Once his big brave daddy took him around and saw all the kids playing... he did not want to leave! Sigh!

While the girls took him around and let him boss them to point of crazed madness, Bill and I sat and noticed the lack of parenthood that was present. Mothers picking their kids up just long enough to fill their baby bottles up with soda at the fountain, change their diapers on the tables while others around them were still eating... most of them on something????? It was scary. Needless to say, Bill has refused to step foot in one EVER again!!!!! :)

On the way home, he told daddy, "I had a wot of fun dad!" That was enough for dad!

Well, it's official, Jon Gosselins' admitted to poor judgment in going out to dinner with "a friend" while his wife was out of town promoting a book of the (happy) family! Hmmmm? He's says he is shocked that tabloids are paying locals to promote disturbing stories of him cheating on his wife? Ummm, help me here peeps; I mean really, do I need to go on?? All I have to say is: "welcome to celebrityville"

It has been grey and rainy here for days. I think I may have to retract me previous statments of how much I love the rain! Although, in defense of nature, it hasn't actually RAINED all that much!

I was very engrossed in the story of the first face transplant that has been plastered all over the news and internet. I have to say, it was a ghastly thing that man did to her! Are there words to describe what life must be like for her? No. The before and after picture were truly amazing!

Anyway, just my two cents for the day. Happy Sunshine!

Well Hello Folks,

I am sad to say I heard that comedic actor Dom DeLuise passed away yesterday at the age of 75! How said. When I remembered that movie with him where he had the eating disorder. It was classic. I truly don't remember the name? All of the Cannon Ball Run movies. He was great and from what I have read, a really great guy in R.L.

Cinco De Mayo. I read that Mexicans actually have never heard of this day? And, say that it is the Americans way of just needing another excuse to get bombed? Eh, who says we need excuses?

Monday, May 4, 2009

Well, today is May 4th. Danielle needed help with her homework. Once I get passed them having to get rid of all their energy from having to sit in their seats all day and be quiet at school, I have to ask her several times if she is paying attention to what I am explaining? MOST of the time I have the feeling she just wants me to do it because she's too lazy and I get "yessssssss moooooooom!".

Meanwhile, William Matthew Doll, W.M.D which closely translates, to: Weapon of Mass Destruction! is on the floor banging his batman car on the table! Kaytee is reciting gang bang lyrics from the latest rediculus song from Lady Gaga or some such nonsense? This is of course after running to the stores and banks and listening to Will say every five minutes, "why mommie, why?" God love him! I have run out of explanations!

We had a cable outage. That was fun, realized all at once it's a good thing I have a cell phone from a completely different source because all of a sudden, I had no phone, no TV, and no internet! THAT is enough to drive someone to suicide!! They had better be careful. Bored At Home Mom's have no life, and REQUIRE internet and TV to stay alive! :)

Sunday, May 3, 2009

Well, Communion is over and done. Girls are very relieved and turns out the Kaytee will now be bumped to the level she should be at which is a little higher. Danielle, however is NOT happy at all, and wishes not to go back at all. Sigh.... Will was ansy in church and will always be!

This weekend is almost over and everything went by very quickly. We are going to take Danielle to Home Depot and we're going to buy some flowers to plant. She LOVES that and loves also to be out in the garden plainting. As long as there are no bugs around that is!!!!

Friday, May 1, 2009

Well,

This weekend is the girls big Communion. They are excited and nervous I think. We will take them out to an early lunch. I think they are more excited to be wearing their pretty white dresses more than anything.

The kids keep asking me about the Swine Flu. I think the kids at school are talking about it a lot and it makes them worried.

Happy May Day everyone!

GoodDay

Hello, my first Blog, what more can I say.
